Nothing spins

Ghost Fleet takes a game most people played on squared paper at school and turns it into a casino round. An 8x8 sea chart sits under heavy fog. Nine ghost ships ride at anchor somewhere beneath it. Five cannons wait below a brass frame. You press Fire! once and watch the volleys land.

The fleet is always the same: four two-square sloops, two brigs, two frigates and a square galleon. Ships never touch along a side. A ship sinks the moment its last square shows and pays on the spot, the galleon most of all.

The volley count is a price on coverage

Before the first shot you choose the bet and the number of volleys: 3, 5 or 7. Three cost exactly one bet. Five cost two. Seven cost four. Every volley adds five cannonballs on squares that are still hidden, so the extra spend buys more open sea and more chances at hulls and maps.

That is an unusual, readable trade-off, and it is worth explaining in a lobby tooltip. Players who like control will spend the first few rounds testing it.

The Tide makes the order matter

Along the top runs a gauge from 1 to 8. It starts every round at x1 and steps up with each wreck. The first ship pays flat, the second double, the third triple. Rounds where four or five ships go down back to back are the ones that move the balance.

Two hazards speed things up. A powder keg blows open its eight neighbours, and a keg next to a keg chains. A wreck bell clears its whole row. The studio is clear that all of this is presentation: the outcome is fixed on the server when you bet, and the cannons replay it.

The Kraken

Three treasure maps in one round open the Kraken Hunt. The chart grows to 10x10, you get eight free volleys of six balls each, the enemy fleet grows, and the Kraken sits in the middle behind twelve tentacles. Each tentacle cut pays a prize times the current Tide. Cutting the twelfth defeats the monster for the biggest reward in the game. Extra maps add volleys. The Kraken button buys straight in.

The published ceiling is 3,670 times the round stake, lower than most of the studio’s slots and stated precisely.

Lobby fit

This belongs next to instant games, not in the slot grid. Players who come from Mines-style reveal games will understand it immediately, and the battleship theme travels across languages without translation. It suits crypto casinos and mobile-first brands looking for short, explainable rounds. Operators connected to SoftAggregator have had it available since 5 October 2026.

Frequently asked questions

What do 5 or 7 volleys change in Ghost Fleet?

Coverage. Each volley drops five more cannonballs on hidden squares. Three volleys cost the bet, five cost twice the bet and seven cost four times the bet, so more of the chart opens for a higher price.

How does the Tide multiplier work?

It starts each round at x1 and goes up one step every time a ship sinks, to a maximum of x8. The second wreck pays x2, the third x3, and so on.

How do you start the Kraken Hunt?

Find three treasure maps in the same round, or buy it with the Kraken button. The chart grows to 10x10, you get eight free volleys of six cannonballs, and each of the Kraken's twelve tentacles pays a prize times the Tide.

What is the maximum win in Ghost Fleet?

3,670 times the stake paid for the round, as published on nocturnplay.com in October 2026.
