Relax Gaming Review 2026: Silver Bullet and Apex
Official website ↗
Relax Gaming is a studio and an aggregator at once. Founded in 2010, it distributes its own slots (Money Train among them) alongside two tiers of partner studios: Silver Bullet, which Relax represents commercially, and Powered By Relax, whose studios keep their own deals. Its Relax Apex overlay puts one front-end layer over every game, which feeds the Relax Rush promo tools and the Dream Drop jackpot. The catalogue is curated rather than huge, and game counts are not published.

Strengths
- One Apex front-end layer across all content, which cuts game-by-game testing
- Dream Drop network jackpot with reseed costs covered by Relax
- Strong in-house slot brands next to partner content
- Long track record, founded in 2010, 300+ staff by its 15th anniversary
Weaknesses
- No published game or studio count
- Curated slot focus; not the place for sportsbook, crash-heavy or crypto-first lobbies
- Owned by an operator group, which some competing operators will weigh
- No white-label or casino platform
Relax Gaming is often filed under “slot studio”. That is half the story. Relax began as a technology provider in 2010, launched poker before its casino platform, and only started building its own slots in 2018. Its in-house hits now get the headlines, but the aggregation business came first and still shapes how the company works.
The angle that matters for a buyer is control. Relax does not try to carry every game on the market. It picks studios, wraps their games in its own front-end layer and sells a consistent product. That is a different bet from the 30,000-game hubs.
Two partner tiers, two commercial models
Relax splits partner studios into two programs, and the difference affects you as an operator.
Silver Bullet was created for small studios. Relax represents them commercially, covers go-to-market work and compliance support, and promises every partner the same visibility. In its first year, nine partners released 18 games through it. ReelPlay moved up from Powered By to Silver Bullet in September 2024, which shows the path studios take.
Powered By Relax is for studios that want the network but not the sales help. They keep their own commercial relationships with operators. Its company timeline marks 25 live Powered By partners as an early milestone.
So when you sign, some studios will be priced and supported through Relax, and others may require their own agreement. Ask for the partner list split by program before the commercial discussion.
Relax Apex: one layer over everything
Apex is the technical heart of the offer. Relax describes it as a front-end framework applied to all its content. The company says it reduces more than 2,000 game-by-game verification procedures to one.
For an operator, the benefits are concrete:
- Less QA work when new games arrive, because the shell is the same.
- One set of market rules applied across studios.
- Promo tools that work on every partner game, not only Relax’s own titles.
The trade-off is dependence. If the overlay has an issue, it affects every game behind it. Ask how Apex releases are tested and how quickly a fault is rolled back.
Dream Drop and Relax Rush
Dream Drop is Relax’s network jackpot, live since May 2022. Its page in October 2026 lists six jackpots in three mechanics: progressives, two must-drop levels (Mega and Major) and a Daily Jackpot that falls three times a day across all Dream Drop games. Reseed is at least 75%, and Relax covers reseed fees, so operators do not pay to restart a pot. Relax says the €2M Mega Jackpot gives a big winning moment every four to six weeks.
Relax Rush is the promotional suite. It lets operators set their own campaigns, not only join network promotions run by Relax. Combined with Apex, these tools reach partner games as well as in-house ones.
Few aggregators of this size bring a network jackpot of their own. If jackpots are central to your retention plan, this is the strongest reason to shortlist Relax.
The in-house catalogue
The own-games list is long and branded: the Money Train series, Iron Bank, Hellcatraz, Bill & Coin, Cluster Tumble and many Dream Drop versions of existing hits. Relax has studios in Malmö, Belgrade, Stockholm and Novi Sad, plus offices in Tallinn, Malta and Gibraltar.
These games are a draw on their own. Many operators integrate Relax for Money Train and then discover the partner content. That is worth remembering in negotiations: the in-house titles carry the leverage.
Ownership and what it means
Kindred Group, the Unibet operator, held a minority stake from 2013 and agreed to buy the remaining shares in July 2021. The deal valued Relax at up to €320 million in enterprise value. Kindred was later acquired by FDJ, which took the name FDJ UNITED in March 2025.
At the time of the 2021 deal, Kindred said Relax would stay a separate entity with its own management. It still serves operators that compete with its parent’s brands. Most operators accept that. Some prefer a supplier with no operator in the family, so raise the question openly and ask how data is separated.
Integration and onboarding
Relax Vantage is a business portal for onboarding and integration. Operators and suppliers use it to manage games, view analytics and handle paperwork. It is not a fully self-service sign-up with instant keys. Commercial terms still go through sales.
Game counts, currency lists, wallet details and integration timelines are not published. There is no white-label casino. Relax supplies content and tools, and expects you to have a platform. If you need a full white-label site with self-service API access, SoftAggregator and SOFTSWISS cover that model.
Five things to settle before signing
- Which partner studios are Silver Bullet and which are Powered By, and which of the latter need a separate contract with you?
- Is Dream Drop included in the base deal, and how is the jackpot contribution invoiced?
- Can Relax Rush campaigns run on every partner game, or only on studios that have opted in?
- What does Relax Vantage show in its analytics, and can the data be exported to your own BI?
- How long did the last three operator integrations take from contract to first live game?
Who should look at Relax Gaming
Relax fits operators who think in terms of lobby quality, not lobby size. It suits slot-led casinos in Europe and the Americas that want a network jackpot, cross-studio promotions and well-known in-house brands from one integration.
It is less suited to sportsbook-first brands, crypto casinos built around originals and crash, or anyone who needs tens of thousands of titles from a single feed. The 8.1 score rewards the Apex layer, Dream Drop and the depth of the in-house slots, and holds back points for missing public numbers. Pariplay and Oryx Gaming are the closest comparisons.
